Rosen Kirshen Tax Law is a boutique law firm that specializes in Canadian taxation law, specifically tax dispute resolution with the Canada Revenue Agency, and the Department of Justice. We offer an engaging atmosphere with opportunities for mentorship, skills development and advancement. We work with corporations and individuals to assist with a full range of taxation issues.
We are currently looking for four summer students to join us in for the summer of 2021.
Rosen Kirshen is interested in hiring second year law students to work during the summer months. Students are provided with an opportunity to gain hands on experience dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency, while also assisting in tax litigation. As a Summer Student, you will:
- Assist paralegals, law clerks, lawyers, and partners with research;
- Negotiate directly with the Canada Revenue Agency;
- Attend Litigation Steps if applicable;
- Provide first drafts of audit or objection representations; and
- Draft Court documents as needed.
Summer student positions generally run from May 2021 to late August 2021.
Our preference is to have those who are interested in litigation and have demonstrated an interest in taxation. Please submit your cover letter, resume, and undergraduate and first year law school transcripts, by no later than January 25, 2021.
Please email the applications to email@example.com. Interviews will be conducted in early February for the 2021 student term. Writing samples and letters of reference are not required but are appreciated.
These are paid positions. Our goal is to have our summer students become our Articling students.
Finally, we thank all applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
