Matt is a Summer Student at Rosen Kirshen Tax Law.
Matt recently completed his second year at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he studied English and American Studies at the University of Toronto.
Throughout his undergraduate degree, Matt was a member of the New College residence council, and also became an ambassador for the American Studies program. During this period, Matt published a paper about American constitutionalism in the University of Toronto’s 2018-2019 Undergraduate Journal of American Studies.
Since beginning law school, Matt has gained hands-on experience in multiple legal fields. In the summer of 2021, he interned at a criminal law firm, and later did a for-credit internship at a firm specializing in real estate and family law. Matt also participated in the inaugural 2L Leclair moot in March 2022, which concerned a contractual dispute.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys watching the Ottawa Senators, even though they’ve had a rough few years.
